Case Study 14
Case Study No. 14
An individual, newly built, quality home at 4 half-levels. Detached double garage with cobbled stone-setts lane access to the Highway – Cheshire.
The Problem:
To satisfy all the current terms, conditions and regulations necessary to obtain Planning Consent, the Highways Department, Building Control, Local Byelaws and all the mains services requirements, for development, required vehicle access, parking and turnaround issues to be fulfilled. In addition consideration was to be given to the current safety and insurance requirements requiring that vehicles enter and leave the road in a forward direction.
The Solution:
A 3.8M (12’) nominal diameter inset CPS car turntable finished with granite setts to blend with the driveway. The Architect specified the CPS Car Turntable to provide the turnaround facility without the need of a conventional hammerhead, which would have incurred massive construction cost. The turntable also dramatically increased the soft and natural landscaping area available, attractively blending in with the project.
