Planning Refusal Overturned Due to Turntable Installation
Case Study No. 6
To upgrade the front garden of a Devon family home providing on-site parking with a turntable. A turntable facility was imperative to obtain planning approval.
The Problem:
To overcome the local restrictions of street parking and to obtain the necessary planning approval for a drop kerb incorporating the obligatory turnaround facility for cars to enter and leave in a forward direction. The only means of obtaining the required planning consent was to specify a car turntable to rotate the vehicle around safely to satisfy the insurance, legal and safety issues.
The Solution:
A 3.6M diameter turntable was installed by Car Parking Solutions to fully satisfy all planning consent conditions. The home owners were then able to position their car safely and securely away from the street.
